Patrick is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Montreal. As a teenager, he would often riffle through his parent’s vast vinyl collection. It was then he developed a great love for classic soul, Gospel, Rn’B, rockn’roll and blues. Some of Patrick’s many influences include Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Fleetwood Mac, Lauryn Hill, Fugees, Sly and the Family Stone, the Rolling Stones and Bill Withers.

Growing up in Montreal, by the time he turned sixteen; he was performing in local hip-hop shows, and was even featured as guest vocalist on some recordings with Canadian rap artist Karma Atchykah. Patrick was trained in classical voice at Vanier College’s music department. While studying there, he gained invaluable experiences, including a singing spot in a rock band and performances at various hip hop and RnB shows.

It was in college that Patrick decided to form a band to perform the songs that he’d been writing since his teenage years. Once in University, Patrick was asked to perform at the Montreal International Jazz Festival’s 2006 Big Event — a Paul Simon Tribute Concert, featuring Daniel Lanois, Sam Roberts, Colin James, Elvis Costello, Holly Cole, and others. The show, attended by 150,000 people, was subsequently broadcast on Bravo, ArTV and CBC television.

Having performed all over Montreal and Toronto, Patrick launched his first full length album to a packed house on May 27th 2007 at Petit Cafe Campus in Montreal. The album received notable airplay across Canada, USA and France and prompted Patrick to tour during the summer, including performances in the International FestiBlues, Mont Tremblant Rhythm Festival, The Montreal FunkFest and the CTV Television ‘Telethon of the Stars’.

After signing with Justin Time Records in 2010, Patrick’s latest CD ‘The Electric Soul Kitchen Vol.1’, was release in stores across Canada and online on March 8th 2011. Lehman wrote, arranged and produced each and every track. The first single "Prove Myself to You" has had major airplay on CBC2 and national college radio. Within just two weeks of its release, it had hit the top ten urban/soul chart in Chart Attack magazine.

Most recently Patrick won first place at the International FestiBlues ‘Rising Star’ award, recorded the theme to Montreal’s 92.5FM’s THE BEAT radio and just finished producing music for fashion designer Elizabeth Kosich for her NYC fashion week 2012 runway show.

After two successful CD Launches in Montreal and Toronto, as part of Canadian Music Week 2011, Patrick is touring in support of his latest release and is currently recording ‘The Electric Soul Kitchen Vol.2’ which will be released in early 2012.

  For her 2010 Ecofest Barrie Trashfusion design Kerri was “inspired by the cult film Mad Max and the post apocalyptic future world, where we will have to make our own clothes from leftovers”

Kerri also entered the Milton Trashfusion contest where she took 1st place with her Roccoco and Marie Antoinette-inspired design.

A quick look at Kerri’s etsy shop and you’ll notice her visionary style with alternative influences immediately.

From her feminine “Air Pirate Dress” to her outrageous and beautiful “Brotherhood of the Raven Mask“, you don’t have to be an alternative consumer to find a piece you can’t help but lust after.

Kerri has decided to once again enter out Ecofest Barrie Trashfusion contest, but you’ll have to come to the show to find out what she dreams up this time!

1) Be conscious of your laundry process.Wash your clothes in cold water.  This is also beneficial to help your clothes stay new

looking longer as cold water is much easier on  fibers. You can also dramatically cut your energy consumption by avoiding your dryer whenever possible, the temperature outside is  perfect now to use that clothes line. Added bonus: clothes and blankets smell so great after they have been blown dry outside! If you do not have access to a clothes line you can still drip dry clothes inside.

3)Enhance Your Home Efficiency. Before you start-up your air conditioner, check to make sure you’re not wasting your energy and money by scheduling a home energy evaluation. As Enertest states in their website:

Making your home energy-efficient will save you money and reduce the impact on the environment for many years

So true! Currently Enertest offers energy evaluations, building consultations as well as specialty services, such as their infra-red thermography, which will reveal heat loss areas that otherwise may not be detected. Many of their services are eligible for government grants, check their website for more details. Barrie Cycling Club is Holding a Youth Race!

On Saturday May 21, 2011 the Barrie Cycling Club is proud to host our 2nd Annual Youth Race, part of the Ontario Youth Cup Series!

This is a stage race geared for boys & girls ages 10-16, and it features a Time Trial and a Road Race all in the same day.

We have a fantastic course, almost entirely made of brand new pavement! It features some rolling hills, and some wide open flat sections. It measures a perfect 6km in length, with wide, safe corners all the way around.

Registration is located here, on the OCA website. Please note that there will be NO day of registrations accepted for this event.
